As part of efforts to advance clean energy projects and expand strategic partnerships, the Renewable Energy Holding Company signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Penta Energy Services, a company specialized in energy services, to develop and implement a strategic solar power generation project in Libya.
Under the MoU, the two parties will collaborate on developing, constructing, and operating a photovoltaic solar power plant aimed at supplying electricity to the power station of the Libyan Iron and Steel Company (LISCO). This project is part of a comprehensive plan to reduce reliance on conventional energy sources and enhance energy efficiency in major industrial facilities.
Penta Energy Services was represented at the signing by Ms. Debbie Hirst, General Manager. The parties agreed on a joint framework to implement this landmark project in accordance with the highest technical and environmental standards, contributing to accelerating the shift toward renewable energy in Libya.
The Renewable Energy Holding Company affirmed that this cooperation represents an effective model of partnership with the private sector to support the green economy and implement vital projects that advance the transition to renewable energy in Libya.
