The Renewable Energy Holding Company participated in a workshop organized by the Ministry of Finance in cooperation with the African Development Bank, held from 5 to 7 May 2025, with the aim of strengthening institutional dialogue on ways to finance and support sustainable energy projects in Libya.
The company’s participation comes as part of its commitment to actively contributing to national and international forums related to clean energy and reaffirming its role in developing and implementing renewable energy projects that align with regional and global trends toward sustainable energy transition.
The workshop served as an important platform for discussions on international financing mechanisms and available opportunities to support renewable energy projects in Libya, while also highlighting funding challenges and ways to overcome them through public-private cooperation.
During the workshop, the Renewable Energy Holding Company delivered a comprehensive presentation on its strategic projects and future plans in the field of clean energy, emphasizing the importance of activating partnerships with regional and international financing entities to ensure the sustainability of projects and achieve the desired economic and environmental impacts.
The workshop witnessed broad participation from government representatives, international financial institutions, and companies operating in the energy sector, where experiences were exchanged and best practices in financing renewable energy projects, encouraging green investments, and enhancing the institutional framework for the energy transition were discussed.
