The Renewable Energy Holding Company took part in a workshop held this morning in the Tunisian capital under the title “Sustainable Energy Planning,” organized under the theme “Sustainable Energy and Climate Change Adaptation in Libya” as part of the SECCAR project. The workshop was organized by the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) in collaboration with the Renewable Energy Authority.
The workshop saw official participation from the Libyan side, including the Chairman of the Renewable Energy Holding Company, along with representatives from the Renewable Energy Authority, the Ministry of Planning, the National Center for Standards and Metrology, and the Office of Advisors to the Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, in addition to representatives from the Tunisian Ministry of Industry, Mines, and Energy.
The workshop addressed multiple topics related to the transition to renewable energy, climate change adaptation, and strengthening regional cooperation in planning and energy efficiency. Key subjects discussed included:
During the workshop, the Renewable Energy Authority delivered a comprehensive presentation on the National Strategy for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency, emphasizing the importance of collaborative efforts to achieve a sustainable energy transition, in light of the global momentum toward clean energy projects.
