Renewable Energies Holding Co. Joins Initiative to Finance Solar Systems for Libyan Farmers

The Renewable Energies Holding Company participated in an expanded meeting chaired by the Minister of Agriculture and Livestock, Abdul Latif Muhammad Al-Tahir, alongside local and international energy experts and Libyan commercial banks. The meeting focused on establishing mechanisms to provide solar energy systems to farmers through Sharia-compliant Islamic Murabaha financing.

Investment, the Company emphasized that integrating clean energy into agriculture will cut production costs and directly benefit citizens. They called for a comprehensive partnership between the Ministry, banks, and specialized firms to build a clear roadmap ensuring high-standard, sustainable projects.

This initiative aligns with the Company’s strategy to scale up renewable energy across vital sectors. The meeting concluded with an agreement to finalize an integrated technical and financial proposal to launch the program soon, reinforcing the Company's role as a key partner in Libya's sustainable agricultural development.
