As part of its commitment to supporting the implementation of the National Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Strategy, the Renewable Energy Holding Company took part in a coordination meeting held on Wednesday morning, 22 January 2025, at the headquarters of the Renewable Energy Authority in Tripoli. The meeting was also attended by the General Electricity Company of Libya (GECOL) and the Libyan Center for Solar Energy Research and Studies.
This meeting comes within the framework of strengthening collaboration among national institutions working in the energy sector and coordinating efforts to implement clean energy programs and projects, including solar energy initiatives and the GO GREEN initiative, in a way that contributes to achieving the goals of sustainable development in Libya.
The meeting addressed several important topics, most notably the development of joint action plans to implement renewable energy projects within clear timeframes, and the coordination of technical efforts to ensure the effective execution of strategic initiatives, thereby enhancing the country’s ability to gradually transition towards sustainable energy.
